Our Working Model
All work is performed by migrant Women of Colour (including international students). From facing and overcoming extensive systemic barriers, migrants have uncompromising levels of resilience engineered into their DNA.
Paired with the right mentoring, training and paid opportunity – we’re building the next generation of intersectional entrepreneurs, startup operators and founders that are going to power our future economy.
Our Practice
The CCO works with diverse, values-aligned organisations to provide small business and startup support, design, marketing and digital services.
We don’t spend money on uncomfortable, imported furniture. This means we charge you a fair fee so we can pay our Melbourne-based talent a fair fee.
Our Secret Sauce
A study conducted by the Australian govt. found that compared to women from different backgrounds, CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) women had the lowest workforce participation at a shocking 47.3%.
While migrant WoC step into the job market with the same competitive qualifications as the rest of their graduating class, systemic blockages in hiring channels continue to set them back resulting in years of lost experience compared to their peers.
As it turns out, it’s not a “pipeline problem”. In the 7 months that we’ve been active, we’ve managed 50 paid professional opportunities for women of colour.
