Priyanka Ashraf, The founder and director of The Creative Cooperative
Priyanka Ashraf


Priyanka is an ex-lawyer turned technologist who has worked across technology strategy and startups, leading a range of functions across growth marketing and sales. She’s a migrant of Bangladeshi heritage who has called Australia home for the last 20 years and has also lived in Singapore, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Japan.

She is the founder of #ShareThePlatform – a world first initiative that successfully catalysed a conversation about systemic racism in the Australian startup ecosystem, for the first time in history. Household names like Malcolm Turnbull, Janine Allis, Daniel Flynn, Guy Kawasaki, Seth Godin and Mark Bouris interviewed and amplified the voices of First Nations and People of African Descent founders.re, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Japan.

Priyanka is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at Tech Ready Women, taking 100 female founders from idea to launch in 2021.
Yeon-Ju Chun


Yeon-Ju (or YJ) is a graphic designer, web designer and artist. She has worked with diverse clients in both corporate and freelance capacities and across diverse mediums. She migrated from South Korea 20 years ago. Before that, she was exposed to the cultures of the world from a young age whilst travelling with her family. Her personal artwork has been featured in Sugar Mountain festival as part of a showcase of Women of Colour creatives. She has also been featured in i-D Australia as a Person of Colour and a leader in the creative industry. Also came 2nd on 2020 Future Founders Pitch competition representing The Creative Co-Operative.

Ava Senaratne

Ava is a strategic Graphic Designer and Art Director from Sydney. For the last 12 years, she’s created successful concepts for brands like Apple, Bank Australia and UTS. She’s passionate about purposeful ideas and thought-provoking design. This is something she explores through TCK TOWN, a magazine she runs to promote cultural diversity.
Zahra Zainal, the mentor of our design consultancy

Zahra Zainal

Zahra Zainal is a graphic recorder, illustrator and entrepreneur. Growing up in multicultural Malaysia, and then training as a visual communicator in beautiful Melbourne, she works to bridge cultures in realistic and humanistic ways. Her live graphic recording work takes her all around the country, drawing in front of massive, diverse audiences. She has run a successful freelance business for the past 8 years. Zahra is also the vice-president of Graphic Recorders Australia, a not-for-profit professional membership association, initiated to support the growth and quality of the Graphic Recording community in Australia. Zahra transforms complex ideas into simplified, aesthetically pleasing imagery for international and local organisations including Facebook, Target, Coles, Mattel, and the City of Melbourne.
